Yarnie Yumminess!

Yummy purchases from K1 Yarns in Edinburgh the purple is Artesano Yarn and the Red is
Zauberball Schoppel Wolle. I haven't found projects for these yet, so a hunting I need to go.
These babies were purchased from P2tog . I originally received the starter set for my birthday, however the set doesn't contain all the sizes, so I thought I would purchase the rest to complete
the set. I don't think I will ever use any other knitting needles ever again. These are just simply the best. Dpn's here I come (well once I save some pennies).

Tidy Up Time!

I decided to reorganise my button collection today as it was getting a bit out of hand. So being the perfectionist that I am I reorganised them into colours and bagged them (very sad), so here are some pictures:

Clear buttons
Red Buttons (my favourites)

Lilacs

Greens
Black. How cute is the little guy on the right, he's tiny.
Blue
White
Yellow
Some of the colours have alot of one button, I'm very frugal and tend to recycle buttons from clothes I'm never going to wear again. Others I have bought and some I have received as gifts. I have alot more but it would take forever to photograph them (very sad eh!)

My Beautiful FO's!

Aaaaahhh! I'm officially on holiday (well as of Saturday past) and I'm really enjoying pottering about. It feels good to actually be able to do things that I never get round to because of work (it's such a burden) . Why can't I be paid the same money but stay at home haha! I can dream!
Anyway, these are a couple of projects that I finished recently and I'm dying to show off.

First up is Clapotis gorgeous pattern to knit. I especially loved the part where you dropped stitches and let the ladder run (brilliant, never thought you would ever hear a knitter say that, did you?) I would race throught the repeats just so I could make another ladder haha. Anyway enough hilarity, the yarn used was Lornas Laces Winona to make this and I used 2 skeins. (I will probably wear this today when I visit my sister as I'm such a big showoff). It looks heavy because of the amount of yarn used but is actually quite light and very good for drab overcast days. It can be worn as a scarf or a shawl. I may model it later when I have woken up properely.

Next Up:

Ishbel I love this to bits, the pattern was wonderful to use and easy to do. I used Sophia (it's cashmere!) and ohhhh! how soft. It's really beautiful to wear and feels like heaven to touch.

And finally:

Teak Bittersweet Gauntlets by Laura Irwin. I didn't knit the wrist strap for these as I liked them as is. I used Teak (main colour) and Clover (intarsia section). These are going to be stashed away until Crimbo time (no there not a gift they are all mine Mwahhahaha!).

Pressies from KnittyVicki!

I would like to say a massive thankyou, to my swap partner KnittyVicki for the wonderful parcel I received for the UK Swap group we are members of. I opened the envelope and laughed(it had a little blue 'Noahs Ark' brad on it and I knew instantly who my buddy was) as Vicki was my very first swap partner that I sent to for the group. We would send emails to each other stating wouldn't it be good to send to each other. Alas it didn't happen the first time round. Anyway enough waffling lets look at the pictures shall we:

The unwrapped goodies! Loads of beautifully coloured tissue paper.

The Noah Arks card that gave the game away :) Opal Sock Yarn, DPN's, Sock Pattern, Lilac and Pink Button Pack, Animal stitch Markers.
Coconut and Shea Body Butter, Lilac Candle with lilac flower holder, Gourmet Chocolate Drink with Marshmallows (mmmm!) Stella Cobweb weight Yarn from The Yarn Gallery and a Snowdrop Shawl Pattern to knit.
The most gorgeous dog book "A Dogs Life" (some of the pictures are way too cute!) Smoked Sea Salt pack loads of Lilac Roving to spin with and a pack of Winalot treats for Dogman (he couldn't wait for the packet to be opened, he sniffed it out of the box hahaha!)

Heffalump Sunshine!

Little something to cheer me up (I have been very ill as of late :( and I'm finally going to the doctors today to get some help) I've been working on this little guy for a swap.

A Heffalump! He is made out of scraps of wool that I had lying around, however that doesn't mean he should be chucked on the scrap pile. Isn't he sweet. I just love, love, love him to bits.

He is from a pattern called Elefante.
